  Island Peak , also known as Imja Tse, is a popular 6,189 meter (20,305 ft) peak in the Khumbu region of Nepal. It is a relatively easy climb, making it a good option for first-time mountaineers. The peak is located in the Chhukung Valley, surrounded by other high peaks, including Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu. Island Peak is a challenging climb, but it is also very rewarding. The views from the summit are spectacular, and the experience of climbing a Himalayan peak is unforgettable. A typical Island Peak climbing itinerary is 16 days long. The first few days are spent trekking to Base Camp, which is located at 5,600 meters (18,373 ft). Once at Base Camp, climbers will spend several days acclimatizing to the high altitude. This involves making short treks to higher altitudes and then returning to Base Camp to rest. On the day of the summit attempt, climbers will wake up early and start their ascent.
